Zengi restaurant and takeaway is named after the Zengi Kingdom a twelfth-century Turkish dynasty which ruled parts of Northern Iraq and East Turkey and the menu at Zengi halal restaurant includes dishes from across the region.
At Zengi restaurant our chefs are all from Turkey and have been working in the industry for 25-30 years. Why not try Zengi’s signature dish, a Turkish speciality form the Gaziantep area consisting of Cracked wheat shell filled with gently spiced mincemeat, pine nuts and parsley (boiled or fried) served with the Zengi dip. Or other Zengi’s specialities such as mixed mezze, falafels, patamas, ishli kufta turkey, mosul kabbah, Baghdad khubli or fried ishli.
Zengi Middle Eastern restaurant is set on two floors with outside seating for the summer months. The decor is simple but elegant with a modern Middle Eastern feel. On the ground floor at Zengi there is large windows and seats next to the counter of the open kitchen where you can watch Arabic bread being carefully prepared. In contrast the basement floor has cozy alcoves furnished with colourful cushions and hanging lanterns creating a relaxed and private ambience.
At Zengi restaurant you will find Middle Eastern delights, a mixture of interesting Iraqi, Turkish and Syrian dishes cooked on the chargrill or in the wood-fired oven.
